Parents are especially concerned about the dangers that rave parties bring, especially since one look at ravers will tell you that most of them are young people, although these events should be for those who are 18 and older. It is rather amazing, though, that even with the knowledge that drugs are being consumed at rave parties, raves have yet to be banned altogether. Picture half-naked, sweaty, writhing bodies € even in 50-degree weather; it € basically an all-night dance party, with techno music and fascinating light shows. Sounds positively benign, but beyond the music and the bright lights there is believed to be widespread use of what is known as club drugs, such as ecstasy.
Just this weekend, about 6,000 youngsters gathered at the Pharaoh € Theme and Water Park, previously known as Pharaoh € Lost Kingdom in Redlands for an all-night rave. |
