Here are a few of my favorite ways to put the kibosh on the craving without killing my nutrition for the day. If you're anything like me, right around this time you're starving.
Take a whole wheat tortilla, add some nut butter (I like almond), and then cut. It's great on crackers, or pita chips. Strawberry Soup
This is a quick snack you can make in the morning and take with you.
If you leave it sit in the fridge for a while it takes on a thicker consistency. Take about 15 to 20 strawberries, 1/4 of a cup of pine nuts, and about an oz.
And you're craving something... Pita Chips with Hummus
Hummus is a creamy, flavorful dip made of garbanzo (soy) beans, sesame seeds and herbs and spices. Blend everything together in the blender. It's low in calories and quite filling - perfect replacement to potato or plain corn chips. Sometimes, something not-so-good. Of Macadamia nuts (use raw - not roasted - to save on calories).
