Bright reds are dynamic and a great. Since color trends in the interior design world often follow fashion trends, it's not surprising that a strong global influence has trickled down to the interior design industry, embracing cultural diversity and all its colors. This year, it's all about making bolder design decisions, risk taking and incorporating color and lots of it. It is about celebrating what is beautiful and enduring from all that is sought after in all aspects of life. Color trends for 2010 take inspiration from a variety of social and economic influences. It could be that a recessionary economy and a need to uplift our spirits may have been the impetus that lead to the increase of use in color and our attraction to it or the desire to simplify and personalize our living spaces that was the driver for color change.

Currently, this is most apparent in color palettes across the globe mixing subdued earthy tones; browns, grays, and greens, with vibrant global accents of pinks, blues, oranges, yellows and purples.

Whatever the underlying reason, color is gaining ground and we couldn't be more thrilled about it.
