The heart of this hydroponic system is made up of four 8 foot long pieces of 4" PVC pipe. It is also affordable to build, easy to maintain, and it produces excellent results.

The system design eliminates most of the problems I have had with different homemade systems over the years. Each pipe is connected to the one next to it as closely as possible using two 4" PVC elbows. These sections are placed side by side. The first two pipes are connected together on the right side, the second and third pipes are connected together on the left side, and the third and fourth pipes are connected together on the right side. The whole system should be put together on a level surface, and extra care should be taken to make sure each piece of the system stays level with this surface. My most successful homemade hydroponic system is the result of many years of trial and error.

The basic plans are for a 4' x 8' system, but the design is very flexible and can be customized to make larger or smaller systems.
